NOTE:References to rightor left sideof the snow throwerare
determined from behindthe unit in the operatingposition(standing
directlybehindthesnow thrower,facing the handlepanel).
REMOVING FROM CARTON
1. Cut the cornersof thecarton and lay the sidesflat on the ground.
Removeand discardall packinginserts.
2. Movethe snowthrowerout of thecarton.
3. Makecertainthe carton hasbeen completelyemptiedbefore
discardingit.
ASSEMBLY
1. Observethe lowerrear area of the snowthrowerto be sureboth
cablesare alignedwith rollerguidesbeforepivotingthe handle
upward.
a. Placetheshift leverin the F6position.
b. Pull up and backon upperhandleas shown in Figure1.As
youare raisingthe handleupward,makesurethat bothends
of the centercableare positionedproperlyin the brackets.
Align upperhandlewith the lowerhandle.
c. Tightenhandknobs securingupperhandleto lowerhandle.
Removeanddiscard anyrubberbands, if present.Theyare
for packagingpurposesonly.
2. Removewingnut and hexscrewfrom chutecontrolassembly
and clevispin and cotter pin fromchute supportbracket.See
Figure2. Positionthe chute assembly(forward-facing) overthe
chutebase.
3. Placethe 4-waychutecontrol in the centeredposition.
4. Placechuteassemblyontochutebaseand secure chutecontrol
assemblyto chute supportbracketwith clevis pin and cotterpin
removedearlier.See Figure3.
