Sewing overcasting stitches using the optional side cutter

Using the optional side cutter, seam allowances can be finished while the edge of the fabric is cut off. Five
stitches can be used to sew overcasting stitches with the side cutter.
Note
Thread the needle manually when using the side cutter, or only attach the side cutter after threading the
needle using the needle threader.

is aligned with the notch in the presser foot
holder, and then slowly lower the presser foot
lever.
