Note: The ePub output does not support indexes and glossaries.
6 Select or define the conditional build expression.

The sample projects available in your installation (accessible from the Starter pod) contain layouts that are configured
for ePub output. Check the settings of these layouts.
Run the ePub Generator script
1 Do one of the following:
• Select File > Generate > ePub Output.
• Select Tools > Scripts > ePub Generator.
2 Specify a location to store the ePub output.
3 Select the XML layout that contains the settings for the output.
In the Metadata tab, specify metadata to conform to the

A title for the output. By default, RoboHelp displays the project name.
Title
(Optional) The name of the author. To specify multiple author names, use comma as the separator.
Author(s)
(Optional) The name of the entity responsible for making the output available, for example, the author
Publisher
or the organization.
(Optional) The keywords to associate with the content.
Tag(s)
(Optional) A statement about rights, for example, a copyright notice.
Rights
(Optional) A description of the content.
Description
(Optional) An identifier conforming to the ISBN specification.
ISBN
The date of publishing the output. Follow the format specified in
Publish Date
The language in which the content is written. For information about the format, see
Language
Metadata Element Set.
In the Cover Page tab, browse and select the image you want to display on the cover page of the ePub output.

6 In the Zip Location tab, specify the location of the zip executable for Windows.
Note: If zip.exe is not available on your computer, click Open In Browser to download zip.exe for Windows.
Select Open ePub In Default Application.

Click Generate.

Batch-generate output
Batch-generating output eliminates the need to wait for each output to finish processing before starting the next one.
You can publish output from different layouts to different locations. Batch-processing saves time if you use conditional
build tags to test, view, or distribute different outputs.
Layouts are processed in the order they appear in the Batch Generate dialog box.
Important: During generation, RoboHelp deletes the output folder files created in the last session. If you add or hand-
code files in the output subfolder, copy them to another location before generating the output.
In the Single Source Layouts pod, right-click a layout.
