Working with topics
The following features are not supported in XHTML:
• Marquees in topics
• Border color in framesets
• Background sound in topic properties
Use of these features results in invalid XHTML code. Remove these features to generate valid XHTML code.

Import and copy topics

Import topics
Select View > Pods > Project Manager. The Project Manager pod appears.

Open the HTML Files (Topics) folder.

To save the file in a subfolder, select the folder.
Select File > Import > HTML/XHTML File.

Navigate to the HTML/XHTML file.

Select the file. Press Ctrl to select multiple files.
Click Open.

Click Yes to copy the file into the project folder. Click Yes To All to copy the file and all its components.

Note: You can similarly import FrameMaker documents (*.mif, *.fm, *.book, *.bk), PDF documents (*.pdf), Word
documents (*.docx, *.docm, *.doc, *.rtf), XML files (*.xml), DITA maps (*.ditamap), and DITA topics (*.xml, *.dita).
Copy topics into a project

Do one of the following:
• Select View > Pods > Project Manager. The Project Manager pod appears.
• Select View > Pods > Topic List. The Topic List pod appears.

Select a topic.
Right-click and select Duplicate Topic.

In the Topic Title box, type the title.

If the topic is associated with a master page, it appears in the Master Page pop-up menu. If None appears, the topic
uses the default style sheet.
Click the View icon

Click the Appearance tab to change the style sheet.

Click OK.
The new topic is appended to the project. It appears in the Project Manager.
