Altos G540 Installation Configuration Guide
# btmnt –w
# cd /stand/etc/default
# vi boot
Add boot string at the end of DEFBOOTSTR line and save it. It looks like

Sdsk=lsil(0,0,1,0)
Modify /etc/default/boot file

# cd /etc/default
# vi boot

Maintenance Pack 3 Installation

Launch the Software Manager.
1.
# custom
Select Software -> Install New -> From scosysv (your system name)
2.
Insert the SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.7 Supplement 3 CD into CD-ROM,

select CD-ROM Drive 0 and press Continue.
Select SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.7 Maintenance Pack 3 (ver 1.0.0Hc) to

install.
When the installation completed, please reboot the system.
5.
# shutdown –g0

Update Pack 3 Installation

NOTE1. You have to install Maintenance Pack 3 first then install Update pack 3.
NOTE2. You have to add SCO Update Service Enabler license before you apply
Update Pack 3.
Launch SCOadmin
1.
# scoadmin
Select License Manager -> License -> Add a Product or Service License to

add the SCO Update Service Enabler license.
Launch the Software Manager.
3.
# custom
