Scroll Type Setting

TYPE 1 / TYPE 2 (Initial setting)
Choose from two scrolling methods.
Select the type you prefer.
TYPE 1 :
The characters scroll from right to left, one
character at a time, until the entire title has
scrolled.
TYPE 2 :
Words are built up from left to right, a single
character at a time. When the display is full, it is
cleared and the subsequent words are displayed
the same way until all words of the title have been
shown.

Scroll Setting (Text Scroll)

Text Scroll Auto / Text Scroll Manual (Initial setting)
This CD player can scroll the disc and track names recorded on
CD-TEXT discs, as well as the text information of MP3/WMA/AAC
files, folder names, and tags.
Text Scroll Auto:
CD text information, folder and file names,
and the tag information are scrolled
continuously.
Text Scroll Manual: The above information is scrolled only when
a disc is loaded, a channel or track is
changed, etc.
• In parts of the display, scrolling may not occur, or scroll content may
differ.

Switching the Character Font

Font Select TYPE 1 (Initial setting) / Font Select TYPE 2
Two types of font can be selected.
You can select the font type you like.

Switching the Animation Display Type (BGV Select)

BGV Select OFF (Initial setting) / BGV Select TYPE 1 / TYPE 2 / TYPE 3 / TYPE 4
You can select your favourite animation display for background from 4
types.

Opening Message ON/OFF Setting

Opening MSG ON / Opening MSG OFF (Initial setting)
This unit includes a special message feature with various patterns,
which when enabled displays opening messages for certain occasions.
For example, when you turn this unit on December 25th (according to
the unit's date setting), a Christmas greeting is displayed if the Opening
Message is set to ON.

Controlling USB memory (Optional)

A USB memory may be connected to this unit. With a USB memory
connected to this unit, the USB memory will be controllable from this
unit.
• The controls on this unit for USB memory operation are operative
only when a USB memory is connected.
Playing MP3/WMA/AAC Files with the
USB memory (Optional)
If you connect a USB memory containing MP3/WMA/AAC, you can
play these files on this unit.

• The root folder is displayed as "ROOT" in the Folder Name Search
mode.
• This unit plays back files in the USB memory with the same controls
and modes as playback of CDs containing MP3/WMA/AAC. For
details, refer to "CD/MP3/WMA/AAC" on pages 12 to 15.
• Before disconnecting USB memory, be sure to change to another
source or set to pause.
• The playback time may not be correctly displayed when a VBR
(Variable Bit Rate) recorded file is played back.
