Follow these instructions when installing the Marvell
driver for the Red Hat
Building the driver
Install first the Kernel Development tools before building the driver from the TAR
file.
To build the driver:
1. Copy the Lan Driver from the SCD and save it in TMP.
2. Decompress the file.
Enter DriverInstall.

Enter ./install.sh.

Enter # cd/usr/src/linux

# cat/patch-location/sk98lin_vX.XX_a_b_c_patch | patch -p1.
Enter make menuconfig, select Marvell 1000 Lan from the prompt menu,

and then select M from the submenu.
Enter make clean.

Enter make modules.

Enter make modules SUBDIRS=drivers/net/sk98lin/ V=1.

Enter make modules_install SUBDIRS=drivers/net/sk98lin/ V=1.

Enter rm /lib/modules/2.6.16.21-0.8-bigsmp/kernel/drivers/net/ssk98lin/

sk98lin.ko.
12. Enter depmod.
13. Enter modprobe sk98lin.
