LinkBuilder FMS TR
LinkBuilder FMS TR hubs combine
RMON-based management with the
most advanced physical layer support
in an affordable, expandable platform
for mission-critical Token Ring
networks.
The hubs provide an array of
Token Ring features unmatched in
the industry—including advanced
Zero Delay Lockout and Distributed
Recovery Intelligence error recovery
and fault isolation technologies,
Phase-Locked Loop retiming mech-
anisms, and sophisticated SNMP
RMON network management.
For connectivity in a central wiring
closet, cascade connectors can link up
to 20 hubs in one rack—up to 260
users in all. Ring In/Ring Out mod-
ules allow main ring connections to
20 hubs in different locations up to
660 feet (200 meters) apart.
LinkBuilder FMS TR is part of
3Com's innovative SuperStack sys-
tem, allowing you to easily integrate
hubs, bridges, routers, switches, SDLC
conversion devices, and redundant
power into a single, manageable stack.
Hubs
12-Port Hub (3C510500)
Provides 13 RJ-45 twisted-pair ports,
along with two DB-15 cascade connec-
tors and a cascade cable. Hub has slots
for management and RI/RO expansion
modules.
24-Port Hub (3C510501)
Provides 25 RJ-45 twisted-pair ports,
along with two DB-15 cascade connec-
tors and a cascade cable.

management to the LinkBuilder FMS
TR hubs. Slides into the LinkBuilder

User-installable SNMP RMON
module that supports all ten groups of
the Token Ring RMON specification.
