Fixed-Port Hubs
LinkBuilder TP/8i Hub (3C16181)
Standalone 10BASE-T hub designed
for small remote offices with a require-
ment for SNMP management. Supports
up to eight twisted-pair ports via RJ-45
connections, with an optional, modu-
lar backbone port. Features built-in
SmartAgent management and support
for local bridging using the LinkBuilder
Bridge MicroModule. Backed by a life-
time warranty, the LinkBuilder TP/8i
is a robust entry point for reliable, man-
aged 10BASE-T networking.
LinkBuilder TP/12 Hub (3C16170)
Unmanaged, standalone workgroup hub
providing 12 shielded RJ-45 twisted-pair
connectors, along with a slot for optional
transceiver interface modules for back-
bone connections. The LinkBuilder
Bridge MicroModule (3C16060), which
fits into the transceiver interface slot,
provides unmanaged bridge functionality.
LinkBuilder TP/8 Hub (3C16180)
Unmanaged, standalone workgroup hub
providing eight shielded RJ-45 twisted-
pair connectors, along with a standard
BNC connector for backbone connec-
tions. Eighth port can be used as a
station port or for cascading multiple
hubs on the same segment. Power sup-
plied from external AC power source.
Repeaters
3Com's LinkBuilder repeaters let you
connect coax, twisted-pair, and fiber
cabling in a standard Ethernet network.
A third network segment may be added
using an optional transceiver interface
module. These repeaters offer reliability
based on proven technology, and can be
used in combination with any of 3Com's
Ethernet hubs to provide a complete
LAN solution.

RANSCEIVERS
ISOLAN transceivers are an inexpen-
sive and flexible way to connect network
segments or integrate a small network
onto a LAN backbone. The TP and fiber
micro transceivers are ideal for direct
connection to AUI ports. The ISOLAN
Fan Out uses AUI connections to allow
up to 64 users to access an Ethernet seg-
ment through a single transceiver.
