Installing Win 95/98 Software
Components
These instructions assume "d" is the location
of your CD-ROM drive. If your drive is
another letter, substitute that letter wherever
"d" appears in the installation steps.
1. Make sure that all applications are closed and that the
OKIPAGE 8c CD is inserted in your CD-ROM drive.
2. Click the Start button on the Windows taskbar, then
click Run.
3. Enter d:\install.
4. Click OK.
A message appears reminding you that this program
installs only the printer software.
5. Click Yes to continue the installation.
The Welcome dialog box appears.
7. Click Next.
The Software License Agreement dialog box appears.
8. Click Yes.
The Choose Destination Location dialog box ap-
pears.
9. Click Next.
The Select Components dialog box appears.
You have the option of installing the following
components:
10. Clear the items you do not want to install, then click
Next.
The Select Program Folder dialog box appears,
with OKIPAGE 8c listed.
11. Click Next.
The installation begins.

If you leave "Online Documentation"
selected, the 8c User's Guide, the 8c Color
Guide and the PCL version of the
PANTONE "Importing Color Palettes Into
Desktop Publishing Applications" document
will be installed on your hard drive. If you
prefer, you can run these documents directly
off the CD.
If you wish to load the PostScript version of
the PANTONE document, you need to copy
the d:\pantone\ps\windows\howtopan.pdf
file from the OKIPAGE 8c CD to the
\Program Files\Oki\Okipage 8c\Pantone
directory on your PC, then create a shortcut
for it.
