Connecting the Serial Port

Note: The optional Serial I/F Card is required.
1. Turn the printer and computer off.
2. Insert the connector into the serial port and secure it with the screws.
3. Attach the cable to the computer and tighten the screws.
Note: Be sure not to over-tighten the screws—this could damage the
screw posts on your computer.
4. Turn the printer and computer on.
