11.1 Report messages (KX-MB1520 only)

To indicate the unit's fax transmission/reception status, one of the following messages will be printed on the
confirmation and journal reports (page 34).

COMMUNICATION ERROR
ERROR-NOT YOUR UNIT
JUNK FAX PROH. REJECT
MEMORY FULL
OTHER FAX NOT RESPONDING
PRESSED THE 'Stop' KEY

Cause & Solution
40-42 R A transmission or reception error occurred. Try
46-72 again or check with the other party.
FF
43 R A line problem occurred. Connect the telephone line
44 cord to a different jack and try again.
R An overseas transmission error occurred. Try using
the overseas mode (feature #411 on page 50).
53 R A transmission or reception error occurred because
54 of a problem with the other party's fax machine.
59 Check with the other party.

----- R The junk fax prohibitor feature of this unit rejected
fax reception.
----- R The memory is full of received documents due to a
lack of recording paper or a recording paper jam.
Load paper (page 13) or remove the jammed paper
(page 68).
R If the PC fax setting (feature #442 on page 53) is set
to "ALWAYS", check the connection between the
computer and the unit.
----- R The other party's fax machine is busy or has run out
of recording paper. Try again.
R The other party's fax machine rings too many times.
Send the fax manually (page 34).
R The other party's machine is not a fax machine.
Check with the other party.
R The number you dialed is not in service.
----- R MStopN was pressed and fax communication was
canceled.
----- R The front cover was opened. Close it and try again.
----- R Fax transmission or reception was successful.
