Making and answering calls

To make
Key in the telephone number
a call
If you make a mistake, press the right Soft button
Clear
to clear digits from the display.

Press the PHONE button
(You can dial the number after you press the
PHONE button to get Dial tone if you prefer,
but you won't be able to correct any mistakes
if you do it this way.)
u After a few seconds, the display shows the
call's duration in minutes and seconds.
To answer
When there's an incoming call,
a call
phone number (if you subscribe to Caller Display: see
page 22) appears on the display; if the number is stored
in your Phone Book (see page 18), the caller's name may
also appear.
The base unit and handset ring (unless the ringer is
turned off). If you've stored the caller's number with a
personal melody in the Phone Book (see page 18) and
you subscribe to Caller Display, the handset will ring
with a special melody.
Press the PHONE button or the left Soft button
Accept
to answer the call
Press the
HANDFREE
speakerphone.
Note — you may notice that the Symphony
ringing a few moments after any other phone you have
connected to your line. This is not a fault — it's part of
the design of the system, to enable it to receive SMS
text messages.
