• W hen "Multicast" is selected for "Transmission type" on the [JPEG/H.264] (or [JPEG/MPEG-4]) tab of the
"Image/Audio" page, audio transmission will become unavailable while monitoring H.264 (or MPEG-4)
images. To transmit audio, click the [JPEG] button on the "Live" page.

• W hen selecting a smaller value for "Bandwidth control(bit rate)" on the [Network] tab of the "Network"
page (☞ page 54) while putting a priority on the JPEG/MPEG-4 image transmission, select "16kbps" for
"Audio bit rate".

• W hen a shorter interval is selected, delay time will be shorter.

• M aking the value bigger will result in a longer delay, but audio interruptions can be minimized.

• A udio may temporarily be interrupted or noise may be heard the unit, or when multiple users are access-
ing concurrently. It may be possible to diminish the interruption or noise by setting a longer interval for
"Audio output interval (PC to Camera)".

• A udio may sometimes not be heard depending on the network environment.

• T he transmission port number entered for "Audio output port (PC to Camera)" will be used only when
"Unicast port (MANUAL)" is selected for "Transmission type".
When "Off" is selected for "H.264 transmission" (or "MPEG-4 transmission") (☞ pages 34 and 37) or when
"Unicast (AUTO)" or "Multicast" is selected for "Transmission type", it is not necessary to enter the trans-
mission port number.

• W hen "Ch1" is selected for "Video sync", the unit is synchronized with the video signal that is input to
Ch1. Synchronize other video signals that are input to other channels with Ch1.

• W hen "Ch1" is selected for "Video sync", the unit is synchronized with the phase of the video signal that
is input to Ch1. Synchronize the phases of other video signals that are input to other channels with Ch1.

• P erform the settings for the cable compensation properly according to the cable length. Otherwise cam-
era pictures may not be displayed/recorded correctly.
