You might want to export items when:
Someone else needs to open the item in an application that requires a
different file format, such as JPEG for embedding the file in a Web
page.
You want to save the file on a floppy disk.
You want to create a self-viewing PaperPort file and send it to
someone who doesn't have PaperPort.
The following table describes the formats for exporting items:

Description
A format used in PaperPort for Windows.
A format used for displaying and storing
Windows images.
A format commonly used for paint
applications.
A format for multipage PCX files.
An international standard for the
compression of digital photographic images.
A format that works well for storage and
exchange between desktop publishing and
graphic arts applications. TIFF also works
well between different platforms, such as
Microsoft Windows and Macintosh.
PaperPort supports single- and multipage
TIFF.
Proposed standard replacement for GIF, but
not currently supported by browsers.
