Install Drver n Wndows Vsta / XP
■ New Wndows Vsta/ XP Installaton
For Wndows XP:
1. When you start nstallng Wndows XP, you may encounter a message statng,
"Setup could not determne the type of one or more mass storage devces nstalled
n your system". If ths s the case, then you are already n the rght place and are
ready to supply the drver. If ths s not the case, then press F6 when prompted at
the begnnng of Wndows setup.
2. Press the "S" key to select "Specfy Addtonal Devce".
3. You should be prompted to nsert a floppy dsk contanng the NVIDIA RAID drver
nto the A: drve,and then press ENTER.
Important
Please follow the nstructon below to make an "NVIDIA RAID Drver" .
Insert the MSI DVD nto the DVD-ROM drve.

b] Clck the "Browse DVD" on the Setup screen.
c] For Wndows XP, copy all the contents n the
\\ChpSet\nVda\MCP\XP\IDE\WnXP\satarad to a formatted floppy dsk.
For Wndows XP, copy all the contents n the
\\ChpSet\nVda\MCP\VISAT\IDE\WnVsta\satarad to a medum (floppy dsk/
CD/DVD or USB).
The drver dskette for NVIDIA RAID Controller s done.

4. You should be shown a lst of avalable NVRAID Adapaters.
5. Select the "NVIDIA RAID Drver" and press ENTER.
6. Press "S" agan at the Specfy Devces screen, then press ENTER.
7. Select "NVIDIA NForce Storage Controller" and then press ENTER.
8. Press Enter to contnue wth Wndows XP Installaton. Be sure to leave the floppy
dsk nserted n the floppy drve untl the blue screen porton of Wndows XP nstal-
laton s completed, then take out the floppy.
9. Follow the nstructons on how to nstall Wndows XP. After Wndows XP s com-
pletely nstalled, t s recommended that you nstall the the RAID management tool.
For Wndows Vsta:
Durng the operatng system nstallaton, after selectng the locaton to nstall Wndows
Vsta, please clck on the "Load Drver" button to load RAID drver. Please refer the Im-
portant notce above to make a RAID Drver medum. And then, follow the nstructons
to complete the whole nstallaton.
Notce: Each tme you add a new hard drve to a RAID array, the RAID drver wll have
to be nstalled under Wndows once for that hard drve. After that, the drver wll not have
to be nstalled.
