Automatic car wash
An automatic car wash is a simple and fast way of washing the car.
Remember that an automatic car wash can never replace a proper
handwash.
The brushes of an automatic car wash do not fully reach all areas.
During the first months of the car's life it is recommended that you only
handwash the car.
Polishing and waxing
Polish and wax the car when you feel the paintwork is matte and when
you wish to give the paintwork extra protection, such as before winter.
The car does not usually need polishing until after one year. It can be
waxed earlier.
Wash and dry the car thoroughly before you begin polishing and/or
waxing. Clean away asphalt or tar splashes with Volvo asphalt remover
or white spirit.
Stubborn marks can be removed with fine rubbing paste for car paint-
work. Polish first with a polish and then wax with fluid or solid wax.
Carefully follow the instructions on the package. Many preparations
contain both polish and wax.
Do not wax or polish in direct sunlight.
