Attaching Lace

Fabric ......................................................... mediumweight cotton, 3" x 6"
Notes
............................................................... 8" length of 1" wide lace edging
Needle ................................................................ 80/12 Universal or JLx2
Thread ................................................................... 3 cones serger thread
Presser Foot ......................................................................... Cover Stitch
Stitch .............................................................. wide 2-needle cover stitch
Use spray starch or fabric stiffener to stabilize the fabric and lace.
Position the lace on the right side of the fabric with the scalloped edge of
the lace even with the left side of the fabric.
Place fabric and lace under the needles with the lace header positioned
even with the inside edge of the right floating toe.
Cover stitch the lace to the fabric.
Trim fabric from beneath the lace.
Trim and mount sample.
