Symptom
Power is not supplied to microfilmer

Lamps do not come on (including

Possible Cause
• Power Cord is not plugged into
outlet.
• Defective fluorescent lamp.
• Fluorescent lamp(s) reaching its
service limit.
• Film Unit Release Lever not in the
SET position (thus no power being
supplied to the Film Unit).
• Film not being taken up by Taken-Up
Spool.
• Different type of film being used.
• Optimum
exposure
level
obtained in Auto Mode.
• Machine installed immediately under
room lighting or near window.
• Different type of film being used.
• Optimum
exposure
level
obtained in Auto Mode.
• Film was loaded under excessive
light.
• No unexposed lengths are provided
in leader and trailer of film.
• Machine
subjected
to
vibrations.
• Document too thick
Remedy
• Plug the Power Cord into outlet.
• Replace both lamps at once.
• Replace both lamps at once.
• Place Film Unit Release Lever in the
SET position.
• Fit the end of film to the Take-Up
Spool.
• Slide Auto Exposure Control Knob to
left for lighter image.
