Command-line Options
Adding advanced Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus engine
options
The following table lists all of the command-line options that can be
communicated directly to the scanning engine via the Advanced Scan Settings
dialog box provided by most Detection property pages. These command-line
options (that you specify in the Advanced Scan Settings dialog box), will
supplement, and can overwrite, the options selected in the WinGuard and Dr
Solomon's Anti-Virus Detection property pages.

Running the Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Command
Line program
A typical installation of Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus includes the Dr Solomon's
Anti-Virus Command Line program. You can run Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus
Command Line either from a Windows MS-DOS Prompt window, or by
restarting your computer in DOS mode. Network Associates recommends
restarting in DOS mode for best results. To learn how to restart your computer
in DOS mode, see your Microsoft Windows documentation. To run the
program, change to the directory in which the file SCAN.EXE is located, and
type scan followed by the scanning options you want to use (see
"Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus command-line scanner options," on page 168
details).
To run the Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Command Line program, follow these
steps:
1. Open an MS-DOS Prompt window from within Windows, or restart your
Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus User's Guide.
