TV Rating-General
Blocks TV programs that you and your family do not wish to watch, based on
the rating scheme.

TV Rating-General only works when the Select Country option is set to USA.
Follow Steps 1-2 as shown for the Lock System on page 23.

Use 3 3 /4 4 to select the TV Rating-Children option.

Press 2 2 or
(SELECT) to move to the third level.

Use 3 3 /4 4 to select the Age, Dialogue, Language, or Sex then

(SELECT).
Age: Selection applies regardless of content category of rating.
Dialogue: Selection applies if TV programs have rating for Dialogue.
Language: Selection applies if TV programs have rating for Language.
Sex: Selection applies if TV programs have rating for Sex.
Use 3 3 /4 4 to select a rating then press

selection.
TV-Y: All Children. This program is designed to be appropriate for all
children.
TV-Y7: Directed to Older Children. This program is designed for children
age 7 and above.
TV-G: General Audience. Most parents would find this program suitable
for all ages.
TV-PG: Parental Guidance Suggested. This program contains material
that parents may find unsuitable for younger children.
TV-14: Parents Strongly Cautioned. This program contains some materi-
al that many parents would find unsuitable for children under 14 years
of age.
TV-MA: Mature Audience Only. This program is specifically designed to
be viewed by adults and therefore may be unsuitable for children
under 17.
Press MENU to return to the previous screen or press EXIT on the

remote control to return to TV viewing.
