After 30 minutes in Suspend mode, the current system working state is
automatically saved to a special file on the hard disk. the system is then
powered down. When the system is powered on again, it returns to the
working state that was saved.
scanner
An optical device that reads printed material and converts it to a computer
screen image.
serial interface
An interface that communicates information one bit at a time.
serial printer
A printer with a serial interface.
software
Programs that run on a computer such as operating systems, word processors,
and spreadsheets.
SVGA
Super VGA. A standard graphics resolution of 800 pixels x 600 lines.
suspend mode
This is a power savings mode that promotes longer battery and system life.
The system pauses and shuts down operation in a sleep-like state after a
specified amount of system inactivity. Press the Resume button to return to
the point where you left off.
system board
The main printed circuit board inside the system unit into which other
boards and major chip components, such as the system microprocessor, are
connected.

TFT
Thin Film Transistor. A type of NEC Versa LCD color screen that supports
256 colors and provides exceptional screen display.
