TFT monitor

Opening and closing the monitor
Press the g button to open the monitor.
The monitor is extended and swivels to the 90-degree position.
Press the g button again to close the monitor.
If the Auto Open function is activated ("Tilt Mode AUTO"), the monitor returns to the
vertical position after the ignition is switched off. The viewing angle originally selected is
restored after the monitor is switched on again.
Setting the viewing angle
The viewing angle of the TFT monitor can be set in 6 stages as follows:
Press the TILT [ button.
The monitor swivels one position rearwards.
In this manner, the monitor can be swivelled rearwards into three positions.
Press the TILT ] button.
The monitor swivels one position forwards.
In this manner, the monitor can be swivelled forwards in three stages.
Setting the lateral viewing angle
The lateral viewing angle can be set manually when the monitor is extended.
Hold the bottom of the monitor on both sides.
Carefully swivel the monitor to the left or right until the required position is reached.
The monitor cannot be retracted in this position. Return the monitor to the initial position
before closing it.
Retracting/extending the monitor
The extended monitor can be retracted by a few centimetres in order to facilitate the insertion
of discs into the DVD drive.
Press the IN/OUT button on the unit.
The monitor swivels to the 90-degree position and is retracted.
Press the IN/OUT button once more to extend the monitor again.
Automatic opening/closing
This function allows you to automatically control the opening and closing of the TFT monitor
when switching the unit or the ignition on/off.
For settings, see "Setup Menu –> System Settings –> Tilt Mode", page 31.
Swivelling the monitor into the horizontal position
You can briefly swivel the monitor into the horizontal position, e.g. if you wish to access
control elements located behind the extended monitor.
Press the w button on the monitor.
The monitor swivels downwards, remains in this position for approx. 5 seconds and then
returns to the 90-degree position.
