Switching to SD card or USB
MP3, JPEG, MPG und MPEG4 files can be played from the SD card or USB mass storage device
(e.g. USB stick).

Insert an SD card into the SD card reader or connect a USB mass storage device to the USB
port.

The list of AV sources in the OSD menu is automatically expanded by the entries "SD" and
"USB" when an SD card is inserted or a USB mass storage device connected.

Press the MODE button on the TFT monitor repeatedly until "SD" or "USB" is displayed in
the upper section of the screen.

Safety instructions on the USB port
A
Do not use USB sticks which have an uncommonly wide shape. The USB stick or the unit may
become damaged when the TFT monitor is extended.

Ensure that the USB stick does not protrude beyond the lower edge of the TFT monitor.
A
USB sticks which protrude beyond the unit can lead to serious injuries in the event of an acci-
dent.
Switching on/off
To switch on the unit:

Press the PWR button.
To switch off the unit:

Press and hold the PWR button or
☞
switch off the ignition.
If the TFT monitor was open, it is closed when the unit is switched off.
Adjusting the volume
☞
Press the joystick upwards 8 or downwards 2, or
☞
press the VOL– or VOL+ button on the remote control to adjust the volume.

If the button is held down, the volume changes continuously.

When setting the volume, please make sure that traffic noises (horns, sirens, emergency vehi-
cles, etc.) are still audible.
Muting function – MUTE

Press on the joystick or
☞
press the MUTE button on the remote control in order to mute the device.
"MUTE" is displayed on the TFT monitor or on the display.

Press the button again to deactivate the mute function.

Mute can also be deactivated by adjusting the volume.
✎
If the muting signal of a mobile phone is connected to the unit, the unit is automatically
muted during a telephone call.
