This is for recording still pictures using the timer.
Each time the [
] icon is selected, the indication changes by
one setting in the following order:
[h10]
[h2]
setting cancelled
h10:
Records after 10 seconds
h2:
Records after 2 seconds
When the
button is pressed, a still picture is recorded
after the [h10] or [h2] display and the recording lamp flashes
for the time which has been set.
After recording, the self-timer is cancelled.
In auto focus mode, if the
and then fully, the lens focuses on the subject when the button
is pressed halfway.
If the
button is pressed fully all at once, the lens focuses
on the subject just before recording.
Depending on the time taken to bring the subject into focus,
the recording may take longer than set to start.
To stop the timer midway through
Press the MENU button.
This brightens parts that are in shadow and difficult to see
and suppresses white saturation in bright parts at the same
time. Both bright and dark parts can be recorded clearly.
