1 Observe the ESD precautions and pre-installation instructions
described on page 37.
2 Disconnect any cables attached to the PCI card.
3 Perform steps 5 to 9 described in the "To remove a hot-plug PCI
card with OS hot-plug interface:" on page 59.
Installing a non-hot-plug PCI card
1 Observe the ESD precautions and pre-installation instructions
described on page 37.
2 Perform steps 3 to 10 described in the "Installing a hot-plug PCI
card" on page 60.
3 Observe the post-installation instructions described on page 38.

Fibre channel module

The fibre channel module is a network adapter that provides high-
performance connectivity to servers or other clustered storage devices.
Removing the fibre channel module
1 Observe the ESD precautions and pre-installation instructions
described on page 37.
2 Disconnect any cables attached to the fibre channel module.
3 Remove the memory boards or memory air baffles from DIMM
slots C and D. See "Cold Removal of Memory Board" on page 75
and "Removing a memory board air baffle" on page 46.
4 Rotate the slot retention latch on the rear of the fibre channel
module slot upward (A).
