    Chapter 2 System Utilities Most systems are already configured by the manufacturer or the dealer. There is no need to run Setup when starting the computer unless you get a Run Setup message. The Setup program loads configuration values into the battery-backed nonvolatile memory called CMOS RAM. This memory area is not part of the system RAM.

    Entering Setup To enter Setup, press the key combination NOTE: You must press simultaneously while the system is booting. This key combination does not work during any other time.     Main The main menu displays basic and important information about the system. This information is necessary for troubleshooting and may be required when asking for technical support. The last two parameters on the screen let you define the system’s time and data settings. The real-time clock keeps the system date and time.

    SATA RAID Configuration Utility Hardware Requirements for R310 SATA RAID Your system needs to have at least two SATA hard drives installed to create a RAID array. A single hard drive is treated as JBOD and is insufficient to creat a disk array.
