Defects Tab

The DEFECTS tab shows the number and size of the Scratches and Defects in
and around the core of the fiber. Scratches and defects in zones that fail show
in red. See Table 11.
On MPO endfaces, you can swipe the screen to scroll through the endfaces.

Zone A shows defects located in the core.

 Zone B shows defects located in the cladding.
 Zone D shows defects located in the contact zone.
There are no scratches in the zones greater than the allowable

size or number.
This defect is green because the limit allows for a greater

number of defects of this size or smaller in this zone.
This defect is red because there are a greater number of defects

of this size than the limit allows in this zone.
