Using the Dolby Pro-Logic Surround
(Only for model SC-CH950) (continued)
Example: When you select "PHNTM" (PHANTOM) mode
Be sure to disconnect the microphone from the microphone jack.
Switch on the power.
(Steps 1 and 3 also availble from the remote control)
1 Press DOLBY PRO LOGIC to select Dolby Pro-
Logic Surround modes.
Select an appropriate mode according to the types of speaker
setting you use. (See page 61.)
Each press of DOLBY PRO LOGIC advance Dolby Pro-Logic
indicators as follows.
NORM—* WIDE

Note:
When you select the mode except for PHNTM, center speaker
level display will also appear.

Press TEST to sound the test signal.
Be sure to set the V. Bass to off for the correct adjusting.
Test signal will sound for about 2 seconds from each speaker
as follows:
When you select any mode except for PHNTM, the test signal
will also sound from the center speaker after the front speaker
(left).

Adjust the output level of the speakers.
While standing in the listening area, adjust the volume of each
speaker as same as the front speakers.
Output level of the surround speakers will be displayed on the
tuner amplifier display. You can adjust the volume of surround
speakers within the range of ±20 dB.
When you select any mode except for PHNTM, adjust the
volume of the center speaker as the same.

Press TEST to stop the test signal.
■ To cancel the Dolby Pro-Logic mode
(Also available from the remote control)
Press ON/FLAT.
The flat display will appear.
