6. WIRING OF SYSTEM
Disconnect 120 volt AC. Failure to follow these
instructions could create a shock hazard caus-
ing death or severe personal injury.
This product is equipped with a 3-wire
(grounded) system for protection against
shock hazard. Make sure that the appliance
is wired into a properly grounded 120 volt AC
circuit and the polarity is correct. Failure to
do so could result in death, personal injury
or damage to the equipment.
Note: All wiring must comply with the National Electrical
Code and any State or Local Codes or regulations.
(Steps A. - E refer to FIGS. 8 & 9.)

A. Route supply line into junction box through provided
Romex Connector. Six (6) inch leads are suffi cient
for connection to unit wires and ground screws.
B. Connect white to white; black to black; and green
to green or bare copper wire using "listed" con-
nectors.
C. Push the wires into the box
D. Install junction box cover with two (2) blunt point
screws.

E. Plug unit electrical cord into the mating connector
on control box.
7. INSTALL AIR BOX
A. Remove return air grille from air box by pulling in
on half-round fi nger catches.
B. Hold air box up to ceiling template and install three
(3) #10 x 3/8" screws at air box mounting point.
See FIG. 10.

C. Snap hole plug into place at rear of air box
D. There are four mounting holes on the outer edge
of the return air opening for which screws are
provided. These are required for all applications.
E. Reinstall return air grill and fi lter into air box.
F. Verify that all features of the installed system
work. Please read Unit User's Guide or Operating
Instructions before proceeding. Check fan speed
and cooling operation. If the features do not work
disconnect the 12 VDC and 120 VAC power sup-
plies and verify that all wiring is correct.
8. INSTALLATION ON TENT CAMPER
ROOF
A. The permanent wiring leading to unit junction box
may originate in a fl anged surface inlet located in
roof section near the side wall. See FIG. 11.
