This chapter explains how to set up your 4235 LPS to print jobs
in XDPM, XPPM, XScript, or HP LaserJet IID emulation modes.
Table 4-1 lists the printer setup options for Xerox Distributed
Print Mode (XDPM). Based on your choices, complete
Checklist 2: Printer setup options–XDPM (figure 4-1). Your
Xerox service representative uses the checklist during
installation.
Table 4-1. XDPM printer setup options
Description
Selects XDPM for 2700/3700/4045 print jobs.
Within job –Error sheet and print job arrive at the same output
tray.
To other tray –Error sheet arrives at another output tray.
On request or error –Status sheets print automatically if errors
occur during a job run and/or if a status sheet request was
made by the user.
On request –Status sheets print only when requested within a
print job.
On error– Prints a status sheet only when errors occur .
Disable –No status sheets print.
Recognizes or ignores the Print Multiple Copies commands
sent from the host computer system. When this feature is
disabled , the 4235 LPS prints only one set of the job.
Allows you to send messages from the host that appear on the
4235 screen to notify the operator when a job requires special
attention. When the Operator Text Message is enabled , the
4235 LPS pauses until the operator presses the <CONTINUE>
key.
Defines when and if print jobs are offset in the high capacity
stacker and top output tray. When enabled , print jobs are
offset in the output trays at the beginning of each job.
Allows pages with errors to offset in the output trays. When
enabled , pages with errors are offset in the output tray.
