(up) to move the cursor to a country to be
received and press ENT of the a-selector [1].
5) Press the ADJ button [15] to return to the pre-
vious mode.

if the country has been set to Italy, some opera-
tion names in the TV mode will be given in Italy,
as shown below:

When you have switched to the TV mode (or,
turned on the power to the TV mode, performed
a preset call, or switched the bands), the mute
function may be automatically invoked if signals
from the current station is weak. The function will
be cleared once the receiving condition has
been improved.
Adjusting the brightness and tone
of color
Notes:
e This operation is available only when the car is
stopped and the parking brake is applied.
e This function is not available when the display is
stored.
e HUE can be adjusted only when the NTSC mode
is selected.
1) Press the ADJ button [15] to select the CON-
FIGURATION display.
2) Slide the o-selector [1] to W (down) or A
(up) to move the cursor to "DISPLAY".

Adjusting the brightness
3) Slide the o-selector [1] to P (right) to select
either of BRIGHT, COLOR, or HUE.
Each time you slide the a-selector [1] to >
(right), the adjustment mode switches in the
following order:
BRIGHT —» COLOR —* HUE =
* NTSC (VTR mode) mode only
BRIGHT : Adjusts the brightness of the dis-
play.
COLOR : Adjusts the color saturation.
HUE : Adjusts the tone of color. (red is
emphasized «> green is empha-
sized.)
4) Press ENT of the a-selector [1] to select what
to adjust.

5) Slide the a-selector [1] to P (right) or <q (left)
to adjust the brightness.
6) After the adjustment, press ENT of the o-

TION display.
7) Press the ADJ button [15] to return to the pre-
vious mode.
