Features of your vehicle
僅 Do not change, alter or adjust the
immobiliser system because it could
cause the immobiliser system to mal -
function. In this case, have the system
serviced by a professional workshop.
Kia recommends visiting an autho -
rised Kia dealer/service partner.
僅 Malfunctions caused by improper
alterations, adjustments or modifica -
tions to the immobiliser system are
not covered by your vehicle manufac -
turer warranty.
僅 Do not attempt to alter this system or
add other devices to it. Electrical prob -
lems could result that may make your
vehicle inoperable.
NOTICE
僅 When starting the vehicle, do not use
the key with other immobiliser keys
around. Otherwise, the engine may
not start or may stop soon after it
starts. Keep each key separately in
order to avoid a starting malfunction.
僅 If you need additional keys or lose
your keys, Kia recommends visiting an
authorised Kia dealer/service partner.

Operation
1. Press the front door handle button
(driver's side).
2. Hazard warning lights will blink and
the chime will sound.
僅 Locking: Once
僅 Unlocking: Twice
Operating condition(s)
僅 All doors are closed
僅 Smart key is detected within 0.7~1 m
(28~40 inches)
Non-operating condition(s)
僅 Smart key is in the vehicle.
僅 The vehicle is in ACC or ON position.
僅 Doors (except tailgate) are open.
CAUTION
When leaving your vehicle with a smart
key, be sure to close all doors (including
bonnet and tailgate) and check by
pressing the front door handle button. If
the button is unpressed, the doors are
unlocked.
