the smart key to activate the detec -
tion again (if equipped).
Theft-alarm system
The system provides an
audible alarm and the haz -
ard warning lights blink if
triggered. The system is
operated in 3 stages.
Armed stage
Operation
1. Lock the doors by pressing the lock
button on the key or door handle.
2. The hazard warning lights will blink
once to indicate that the system is
armed.
3. The chime will sound for approxi -
mately 3 seconds if any doors remain
open.
Operating condition(s)
僅 30 seconds after all doors are closed
and locked.
僅 Mechanical key is removed from the
ignition switch.
僅 ENGINE START/STOP button is in the
OFF position.
Theft-alarm stage
Operation
1. The horn will sound.
2. The hazard warning lights will blink
continuously for approximately 30
seconds.
3. Unlock the doors with the key to turn
off the system.
Disarmed stage
Operation
1. The hazard warning lights will blink
twice after the doors are unlocked.
2. After pressing the door unlock button,
if any door (or tailgate) is not opened
within 30 seconds, the system will be
rearmed.
Operating condition(s)
僅 Door unlock button is pressed.
僅 The button of the front outside door is
pressed whilst carrying the smart key.
僅 The engine is started. (within 3 sec -
onds)
僅 After pressing the unlock button, the
hazard warning lights will blink and
the chime will sound twice (in smart
key) to indicate that the system is dis -
armed.
僅 After pressing the unlock button, if
any door (or tailgate) is not opened
within 30 seconds, the system will be
rearmed.
CAUTION
僅 Do not attempt to alter this system or
add other devices to it. Electrical prob -
lems could result that may make your
vehicle inoperable.
僅 Do not change, alter or adjust the
theft-alarm system because it could
cause the theft-alarm system to mal -
function. In this case, have the system
serviced by a professional workshop.
