2.3 Foot Control

Connect the foot control

> Unwind the foot control cable out to the desired length and then reattach the cable to the clamping
modules.
– To ensure the cable stays on the desired side.
> Insert the cable of the foot control into the foot control connection (1).

Press the foot control

Pressing the foot control moves the needles, the loopers and the knife. The sewing speed can be infinitely
adjusted by more or less pressure on the foot control. The maximum sewing speed (pressing the foot control
all the way down) can be preset. (see page 50) When the threader cover is open, the one-step BERNINA air
threader starts.
> To start the sewing process, press the foot control down.
