This function can be used to find the peak sound volume within
both discs (when making recording on a cassette tape deck, know-
ing the source's peak level is necessary to set the recording level
properly).
:
1.
With the player in the stop mode, press the PEAK
SEARCH
button.
®@ The unit will enter the fast forward mode to search for the
peak level on either of the.disc. It will take about one minute
to'search an entire 60-minute CD.
When less than the total number
of tracks have been
programmed, only those tracks will be searched for at peak
level.
@ When the disc's peak level is the found, the player will
repeatedly play back the portion of the disc including that
peak level (about 6 seconds of playback, including materi-
al. before and after the. peak level, will be heard).
Inthe event that multiple peaks of similar level are located
on the disc, the point found and played. back. may differ
each time the peak search function is performed.
When the peak level exists on the head of the track, the
player will enter into 3 seconds of playback.
@ To.cancel the PEAK SEARCH function, press the STOP
button.
During the peak search.mode, the player will play back at
low. volume.

Press the PLAY button to begin playback, and be-
gin recording on your cassette deck:

NOTE:
When the unit has been set for programmed playback, the peak
search will be performed only on those tracks which have been
programmed.

Pour rechercher le niveau de volume de créte dans
un disque (recherche de créte)

Cette fonction peut étre utilisée pour trouver le volume sonore de
créte dans un disque (pour effectuer un enregistrement avec un une
platine cassette, il est nécessaire de connaitre le niveau de créte
de la source pour régler correctement le niveau de |'enregistrement).

Lelecteur étant dans le mode d' arrét, appuyer sur
la touche PEAK SEARCH.
@ L'unité passe dans le mode a avance rapide pour recher-
cher le niveau de créte sur le disque. Il faut environ une
minute pour rechercher un CD complet de 60 minutes.
Lorsque moins de pistes que le nombre total de pistes ont
été programmées, seules ces pistes sont recherchées pour
le niveau de créte.
@ Lorsque le niveau de'créte du disque est trouvé, le lecteur
reproduira la portion du disque contenant ce niveau de créte
(environ 6 secondes de reproduction, y compris ce qui se
trouve avant et aprés le niveau de créte) de maniére répétée.
Lorsque le niveau de créte existe au début de la piste, le
lecteur procéde 4 une reproduction de 3 secondes.
@® Pour annuler ja fonction
de recherche
de créte (PEAK
SEARCH), appuyer sur la touche STOP.
Pendant le mode de recherche de créte, le lecteur repro-
duira le son a bas volume.
2.
Appuyer sur la touche PLAY pour commencer la
reproduction et commencer I'enregistrement sur
la platine cassette.
REMARQUE :
Lorsque f'unité a été régiée pour une.reproduction programmée, la
recherche de créte ne sera effectuée
que pour /es pistes qui ont
été programmeées.
