Video copying using the VCR 1 REC SEL switch
VCR 1 REC 2
ENHANCER switch
It is possible to make video copies from VDP/CDV to VCR 1 or from
VCR 2 to VCR 1 regardless of the INPUT SELECTOR switch setting.
By using the VCR 1 REC ENHANCER switch, it is possible to record
to VCR 1 the enhancer processed signal.
NOTE:
if VCR 1 REC ENHANCER is ON, the enhancer will process the image
designated with the VCR 1 REC SEL switch. Therefore, the enhancer
will not affect the signal from the componem selected with the INPUT
SELECTOR. The enhancer does not affect VCR 2 REC or VIDEO OUT.
1. Press the POWER switch to the ON position, and turn on the power
to the connected components (VCR 1, VCR 2, VDP/CDV, etc.}
2. Select the recording mode with the VCR 1 REC SEL switch.
* Either the {VCR 1] + [VCR 2] or the [VCR 1] — [VOP/CDV
VCR 1 RECORDING indicators will light
3. Set the VCR 2 or video disc player to the playback mode.
When not using the VCR 1 REC ENHANCER function: |
@ Set the VCR 1 REC ENHANCER switch to OFF.
* The ENHANCER REC indicator will go out.
@. Set the VCR 1 to the recording mode.

When using the VCR 1 REC ENHANCER function: [
Set the INPUT SELECTOR switch to the component selected with the
VCR 1 REC SEL switch. Follow the instructions in ''When using the
enhancer function" under "VIDEO TAPE COPYING" to adjust the
enhancer control. After adjustments are completed, the INPUT
SELECTOR can be set to any component other than VCR 1.
@ Set the VCR 1 REC ENHANCER switch to ON.
* The ENHANCER REC indicator will light.
@ Set the VCR 1 to the recording mode.
NOTE:
A video image enhanced by a video adaptor cannot be recorded.

VCR for recording
The ENHANCER switch will not operate if the VCR 1 REC ENHANCER
is ON (ENHANCER REC indication is lit) while the VCR 1 REC SEL switch
is on.
Turn off the VCR 1 REC SEL switch if you want to enhance the signal
sent to the VIDEO OUT jacks.
About Video Recording and Video Copying
You cannot record on VCR 2 if the VCR 1 REC SEL switch is set to
VCR 2 — VCR 1.
