Video copying not using the VCR 1 REC SEL switch

Copying can be performed in either direction between VCR 1 and
VCR 2. VCR 1 VCR 2
in addition, two identical copies can be made of a program source
connected to the VDP/CDV and TV jacks. {in other words: VDP/CDV,
TV, VIDEO, VCR 3 — VCR 1, VCR 2}
1. Connect the video components to be used.
2. Press the POWER switch to the ON position, and turn on the power
to the connected video equipment.
3. Select the INPUT SELECTOR switch to the VCR to be used for
playback.
4. Set the playback video source to the playback mode.
When not using the enhancer function: |
@) Set the ENHANCER switch to OFF.
© The ENHANCER OFF indicator will light.
@) Set the recording VCR to the recording mode.
When using the enhancer function: |

Set the ENHANCER switch to ON.
¢ The ENHANCER ON, REC indicator will light.
Set the SPLIT SCREEN control so that the line is near the middle
of the screen,
Use the ENHANCER control to produce the clearest possible image
when a video cassette tape is played back.
© Perform the adjustment while comparing the original picture {on
ieft of screen} and the enhanced image (on right of screen}. Use
the control with care since if too much enhancer effect is applied,
@ poorer image may result.
* Adjust the image, while using the SPLIT SCREEN control to divide
the enhanced and original images, at various places on the screen.
& Set the recording VCR to the recording mode.
When video adaptor components (color corrector etc.) are connected
to the VIDEO ADAPTOR jacks, you can record a video image that has
passed through the video adaptor if the VIDEO ADAPTOR switch is ON.

About the Enhancer
* When the VCR 1 REC SEL switch is off:
The ENHANCER switch is switchable between ON, REC" and "OFF".
When ON, REC is lit, the enhancer is applied to signals for the VCR 1
REC, VCR 2 REC, and VIDEO OUT jacks.
© When the VCR 1 REC SEL switch is on:
The ENHANCER switch is switchable between "'ON" and ''OFF."" +
The VCR 1 REC ENHANCER switch is switchable between ''ON"' (or
"OFF') and "REC."
When ON is lit, the enhancer is applied to signals for the VCR 2 REC,
and VIDEO OUT jacks.
When REC is lit, the enhancer is applied to the signal for the VCR 1 REC
jacks.
