All the pictures and text in this manual are based on the Eight seater L Model. Where the controls
and technical details of the other Transporter models differ considerably, attention is drawn to
the difference.
A number of useful optional extras, some of which are fitted on the L Models, are also included.
Using the automatic transmission is described in a special leaflet which is supplied with every
vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission.
The Volkswagen factory is working continuously on further developments to all VW Types
and Models. We trust you will appreciate that we must reserve the right to alter, without notice,
any of the equipment and specifications illustrated or described in this manual. Special
equipment such as is often required due to local regulations is not taken into account.
