Power Amp Adjustment
Instruments:
Audio
Generator,
AC
VTVM,

lyzer, DC Millivoltmeter, Oscilloscope, Load Resistors
(82, 200W; 4Q, 200W)
A.
1. Connect
82,
200W
load
resistor to SPEAKER
A
terminals (both left and right channels). Connect AC
VTVM
and
oscilloscope
in parallel
with
the load
resistor,
2. Turn
potentiometers
VR802
and 803 on main amp
pcb (for both channels) all the way clockwise. Set
VR801
at mid-position.
3. Set
Volume
Control
to
minimum
and
Function
Selector to AUX. Connect Audio Generator to AUX
input terminal and apply 1,000Hz, 150mV sine wave
signal (to both channels simultaneously).
4. Set Power Switch to ON to activate Speaker Relay (in
4 ~
10 seconds). Then, gradually turn Volume Con-
trol and check to see if rated output (approx. 31V) is
obtained.

Klemmen
anschlieBen
(linker und
rechter
Kanal).
Wechselstrom-ROhrenvoltmeter
und
Oszillograph
parallel zum Belastungswiderstand anschlieRen.
2. Potentiometer
VR802
und
803 auf der Hauptver-
starker-Leiterplatte
(fiir beide
Kanale)
bis zum An-
schlag
im Uhrzeigersinn
drehen.
VR801
in Mittel-
stellung bringen.
3. Lautstarkeregler auf Minimum
und Funktionswahler
auf AUX
stellen. Tonfrequenzgenerator an den AUX-
Eingang
anschlieBen
und Sinussignal
100Hz, 150mV
einspeisen (an Kanale gleichzeitig).
4. Netzschalter auf ON stellen, so da& das Lautsprecher-
relais anspricht
(nach 4 ~ 10 Sekunden).
Nun den
Lautstarkeregler
allmahlich
aufdrehen
und
priifen,
ob die Nennleistung (ca. 31V) erhalten wird.
5. Nachdem
man sich von der einwandfreien Einstellung
in Schritt 4 iiberzeugt hat, den Lautstarkeregler auf
Minimum
(Nuflausgang) stellen und die folgende Ein-

Note:
In step 4, if Speaker Relay does not operate after
setting Power Switch
to ON and Overload
Indicator
lights up, the possible causes are:
a. VR801,
802 and/or 803
is not set correctly in
step 2.
b. Output circuit is shorted.

circuit or power
transformer
may
be
faulty.
d. B circuit is faulty.
B.
Bias Adjustment
. Set Volume Control to minimum
(no signal input).
2. Connect
plus lead of DC
millivoltmeter
to TP
on
main amp pcb and minus lead to b2 on main amp pcb.
3. Adjust
potentiometer
VR802
on main amp pcb to
obtain 30mV reading on DC millivoltmeter.
4. Carry out steps 2 and 3 for the other channel.

Anmerkung:
Falls bei Schritt 4 das Lautsprecherrelais
nicht
anspricht
und
die
Uberlastungsanzeige
auf-
leuchtet,
nachdem
der Netzschalter auf ON
gestellt
wurde,
kann
dieses
auf
den
folgenden
Ursachen
beruhen:
a. VR801,
802
und/oder
803 wurden
in Schritt 2
nicht richtig eingestellt.
b. Kurzschlu& in der Ausgangsschaltung.
c. Hauptverstarkerschaltung oder Leistungstrans-
formator defekt.
d. B-Schaltung defekt.
B.
Vorspannungs-Einstellung
1. Lautstarkeregler
auf Minimum
(kein Eingangssignal)
stellen.
2. Den Plusdraht des Gleichstrom-Millivoltmeters an TP
auf der Hauptverstarker-Leiterplatte
und den Minus-
draht
an
b2
auf
der
Hauptverstarker-Leiterplatte
anschlieRen.
3. Potentiometer
VR802
auf
der
Hauptverstarker-
Leiterplatte so einstellen, da& 30mV am Gleichstrom-
Millivoltmeter angezeigt wird.
4. Schritt 2 und 3 fiir den zweiten Kanal wiederholen.
