About the HOLD Function
(Variation 3)
When the delay variation HOLD is selected, you can record
what is played, then have that played back repeatedly.
If you connect a momentary-type switch (the BOSS FS-5U:
optional), you can then use your foot to control the
recording. Connect the foot switch as shown below.

Select 3 HOLD as the delay variation (p. 13).
Confirm that the delay has is on.

Press the Tap foot switch at the point where you want
recording to start.
Recording continues as long as the foot switch is held
down.
The [TAP] indicator is lit while the recording is in
progress.
Maximum recording time is 1.8 seconds. Recording stops
automatically after 1.8 seconds, and the recorded portion
is played back repeatedly.
3. When you release the foot switch, recording stops.
The recorded portion is played back repeatedly.
By carrying out Step 2 while the section is being played back,
you can layer the recordings.

Press [DELAY] or the foot switch used for turning on and
off the delay to erase the recorded content.
* The [FEEDBACK] knob has no function when HOLD is the
delay variation,
The HOLD function is not enabled while the delay variation is
still being selected (when the DELAY indicator is flashing: p.
13).

Provides a chorus effect featuring natura] sense of
breadth.

Produces a chorus effect with depth and body.

Produces a bright, sparkling chorus effect.

(1) Chorus Button [CHORUS]
Turns the chorus on and off. Indicator is lit when the effect is
on.
* You can also use a foot switch to turn this on and off (p. 21).
(2) Intensity Knob [INTENSITY]
Adjusts the intensity of the chorus.
