Basic Operation of the Rear Panel Controls

With a foot controller
connected, you can use your
foot to switch memories.
You can use these in turning effects on and off and for switching memories.
You can also connect an expression pedal to control volume and wah.

This outputs the COSM amp
and effect sound to external
devices.
You can also turn effects on and off, and switch memories by connecting
a BOSS FS-5U foot switch (optional) to the
FOOT CONTROL jacks.
When using the switch to turn
effects on and off:
Set the FUNCTION switch to "MOMENTARY."
This enables the effects to be turned on and off with a FS-5U
(optional).

When using the BOSS FS-5L latch-type switch (optional),
the foot switch takes priority, regardless of the effect on/
off settings in memory. For example, if the foot switch is
on, then the effect is turned on. Use with the FUNCTION
switch set to "LATCH."
* Even if the FUNCTION switch is set to "LATCH,"
use the
FS-5U (optional) for the delay tap.
When using the switch to switch
memories:
Set the FUNCTION switch to "PROGRAM." This enables
switching of memories and switching between Manual and
Memory modes with the FS-5U (optional).
