PARAMETER CONTROL
[PARAMETRIC EQUALIZER]
Enables selection of three frequency points (L, M, and H) for the
front and center channels, and adjustment of levels for each point.
You can then join the three points to create an equalization curve
which is also adjustable. (CENTER is not selectable in STEREO
(2 ch.).)
1. Move the cursor to the frequency point you want to adjust
(PARAMETRIC
SELECT "L", "M", or "H"), and press the
ENTER button.
¢The cursor moves to the specified point on the image (L, M, or H).
2. Adjust the frequency and level with the <, >, A and
V
buttons.
¢The frequencies can be set with the < and > buttons.
Use the A and V buttons to adjust level.
3. When you have finished frequency point adjustment, press
the ENTER button.
Repeat procedures 1 to 3 to adjust each of the L, M, and H
frequency points.
4. Move the cursor to SLOPE ADJUSTMENT
"+" or "—", and
press the ENTER button.
o"+"
: Makes the equalization curve created by joining L, M,
and H steep around "M".
e"—"
: Makes the equalization curve created by joining L, M,
and H more gentle.
Move the cursor to "FLAT" and press the ENTER button for flat
frequency response.
Move the cursor to "STANDARD" and press the ENTER button for the
standard frequency response. (Only operates when the system is set
to SPORTS.)
[BASS ENHANCER]
® Enables boosting of bass.
BOOST (+, —): Use to set the degree of boost.
FREQUENCY
(+, —)
: Use to set the frequency for boosting.
[EXPANDER/COMPRESSOR]
e Use to expand the dynamic range (make loud sounds Iouder) of
the audio source, or compress it (make faint soundsless faint).
@A.D.L.C. (Automatic Digital Level Controller) can be used. A.D.L.C.
automatically compensates for differences in the signal levels of
each of the audio sources to assure a more uniform volume level.
EXPANSION/COMPRESSION
(A, V):
3-step expansion and 3-step compression setting is piss ible, with
the normal position in the center.
NOTE:
Neither expansion nor compression operate when A.b. C. is ON.
A.D.L.C.: Switches A.D.L.C. ON/OFF.
