EDITING VIDEO INPUT (GuI OPERATION)
When selecting VIDEO with the input selector, video input from the
front panel VIDEO INPUT jacks can be edited. Video can be mixed
with audio from another source, and audio and video can be faded in
and out.
1. Connect the source you want to edit to the front panel VIDEO
INPUT jacks.
2. Select VIDEO with the input selector.
3. Press the V-EDIT button on the remote control.
The
mode
switches to the editing mode,
and the editing
operation menu is displayed at the top of the TV screen.
Press the V-EDIT button once more, and the edit operation
menu and edit mode are canceled.

4. Move the cursor to "MIX FUNCTION" at the lower left of the
edit operation menu, press the ENTER button, and select the
desired source for mixing.
eWhen you switch to the edit mode, CD is selected. Each time
you press the ENTER button, the selected source changes in
sequence as follows.

5. Move the cursor to MIX LEVEL "MUSIC"
or "VIDEO", and
press the ENTER button the required number of times to
adjust the mixing level.
*Selecting "MUSIC" lets you raise the volume of the audio
source selected in section 4. Selecting "VIDEO" lets you raise
the volume of the VIDEO INPUT audio source.
¢When you switch to the edit mode, the front panel VIDEO INPUT
audio source volume is at maximum level.

6. Move the cursor to AV FADER "COLOR", press the ENTER
button, and select BLACK FADE or WHITE FADE.

black (the screen

fading out).

FADE, the rectangular display below
"COLOR"
becomes white (the screen becomes white when
fading out).

Move the cursor to AV FADER "IN OUT", pressthe ENTER
button, and fade out begins.
© Fade out ends after about three seconds. |
8. After fading out, if the cursor is still on "IN OUT"
and you
press the ENTER button again, fade in begins.
© Fade in ends after about three seconds.
[To cancel the edit operation menu when still in the
edit mode]
Move the cursor to "DISPLAY" above the edit menu tn the right,
press the ENTER
button, and the edit menu clears torn the TV
screen, leaving "DISPLAY" only. Press the ENTER butt again, and
the edit menu appears once more on the TV screen.
NOTE:
° /f you cancel the edit mode (by pressing the V-EDIT butoyn when the
edit mode has been selected), settings such as mixig /evel and
black/white fade are cleared, so the next time you séect the edit
mode, they must be set once more.
© During video editing, the input selector cannot be swtc#ned from
"VIDEO".
@ The TV display indications in the illustrations differ slightly from those of an actual TV dispay.
