To change the SSID, type a name of maximum 32 characters in the field. The SSID
is case-sensitive.
6. Select a WiFi security option for the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, or both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
radios for the guest WiFi network:
• None: An open WiFi network does not provide any security, and no password is
required. Any WiFi device can join the guest WiFi network.
• WPA2-Personal: This is the default setting for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi guest
networks. This type of security provides a secure and fast connection but some
older WiFi devices do not detect WPA2 and support only WPA. If your guest WiFi
network includes these older devices, select WPA-Personal + WPA2-Personal
security.
• WPA-Personal + WPA2-Personal: Enables WiFi devices that support either WPA
or WPA2 to join the guest WiFi network. However, WPA is less secure than WPA2
and limits the speed of WiFi devices to 54 Mbps.
• WPA3-Personal: Enables WiFi devices that support WPA3 to join the guest WiFi
network. WPA3 is the latest security standard, uses SAE encryption, and is more
secure than WPA2. If all devices on your guest WiFi network support WPA3, we
recommend that you use this type of security.
• WPA2-Personal + WPA3-Personal: Enables WiFi devices that support either
WPA2 or WPA3 to join the guest WiFi network. This type of security uses SAE
and AES encryption. WPA2 (which uses AES) is less secure than WPA3 (which
uses SAE).
NOTE: The WiFi security for the 6 GHz WiFi network is set at
WPA3-Personal. This security option enables WiFi devices that support
WPA3 to join the 6 GHz WiFi network. WPA3 is the latest security standard,
uses SAE encryption, and is required to join the 6 GHz WiFi network.
7. Set a password for the selected WiFi Security option by typing a passphrase in the
Password (Network Key) field.
The password is a phrase of 8 to 63 alphanumeric characters or of exactly 64
hexadecimal characters.
NOTE: By default, your password is hidden. To display your password,
click the icon next to the Password field.
8. Click the Apply button.
