Slide the power switch on the front of the terminal (
s~e ~igure ~)
to the
right until it clicks into position. You'll see the power md1cator light
turn on and hear an immediate beep if the terminal is receiving power.
The terminal immediately runs a brief self-test during which patterns or
messages might be displayed on the screen.

Make a note of the error code letter or number.
