Two-thread narrow rolled
edging.
A
two-thread narrow
rolled
edge
is
often
preferred
for
hems on very
soft
fabrics
which
may develop
an
undesirable stiffness
with
three-thread.
lt
can also
produce
in
interesting
picot
edge
on
tricot
and
other
s¡ngle
knit
fabrics
if
the
stitch
is
lengthened
to
"5".
1.
Lower the stitch finger,
as
detailed
above.
2.
Convert the
machine
to
two-thread stitching
as
shown
on
page
22
3. Adjust the
needle
tension
by
rotat¡ng
the yellow
adjuster
to
the
r¡ght
(clockwise)
to
about
number
"4".
When
the
tension
is
properly
set,
the
edge
of
the fabric actually
rolls
to
the
underside
around
the
tiny
st¡tch finger.
The lower
looper thread
wraps
the
edge
of
the fabric
and
the
needle
thread
pulls
nearly straight.
The
chart on
page
41
indicates
the
suggested
range
of
tension
numbers
for
two-thread narrow rolled
edging.

specific settings
for your
machine.
