When sewing
on your
Baby Lock
serger
you
may
leave
the
presser
foot
in the
"down"
position
for
most
sewing
applications.
Begin
by
placing
fabric
under the
tip of
the
presser
foot.
As you
step on
the
foot control,
the
feed
dogs
will
move
the
fabric
under
the
foot.

At
the
end
of
a
seam,
do
not
raise
the
presser
foot.
Continue
sewing
off
the
fabric
until
a
3"
(8cm)
thread
chain
has
formed, then clip the thread.
(Figure

only
need
to
raise
and
lower the
presser
foot
when sewing
with thick,
spongy
or
lofty
fabrics or when
precise
positioning
is
required.
For
conventional
seaming.
the
needle
should enter
the fabric
5/8"
(1.5cm)
from
the cut
edge.
Your
serger
has
a
guide
printed
on
the
front
cover
to
help
you
feed
the fabric
accurately
into
the
machine. (Figure

The
