MARKING AND SEARCHING
Marking and searching functions are available only for DVDs.

MARKING
(DVD ONLY) —
You can mark any point in a DVD and start playback from there.
You can mark up to 5 discs, each with up to 5 points.
1 Play back the disc and locate the desired point
to mark.
You can use functions such as "FAST FORWARD/REWIND",
"SKIPPING" or "SEARCH?" to locate your desired point.
2 Press MARK.
"P" appears on the TV screen and the unit enters the Mark
mode. The current Mark memory number is highlighted by
the cursor.
3 Press ENTER.
The current location is marked in the Mark memory.
4 Press MARK again to exit the Mark mode.
The Mark mode display is available only by the TV display.
To mark other points
1 Follow steps 1 and 2 of "Marking", above.
2 Press <q, P to move the cursor to the desired Mark memory
number.
3 Follow steps 3 and 4 of "Marking", above.

To play back from a marked point
1 Press MARK during playback.
"Pp" appears on the TV screen and the unit enters the Mark
mode.
2 Press <q, P to move the cursor, or press a corresponding
number button (1 - 5), to select the desired Mark memory
number.
3 Press ENTER or <>.
Playback starts from the marked point.
To clear a marked point
1 Press MARK during playback.
"P" appears on the TV screen and the unit enters the Mark
mode.
2 Press <, » to move the cursor or press a corresponding
number button (1 - 5) to select the desired Mark memory
number.
3 Press C,
The Mark memory is cleared.
« When the 6th DVD disc is inserted, the mark data for the oldest
disc is overwritten by the disc information of the new disc and
deleted, even when a new point is not memorized.
¢ Amarked point is recalled with the subtitle and audio language
setting at the time it was marked, regardless of possible later
changes to the setting.
TITLE SEARCH (DVD ONLY)
You can specify the playback location of a DVD by the title
number.
This operation can be performed either during playback or stop.
1 Press T-SEARCH.

2 Press the numbered buttons to enter the desired
title number.

Example:
To play title number 2, press 2.
To play title number 20, press +10, +10, 0.
You can also use A and W to change the selected title number
in the TV display.
If you entered a wrong number
Press C to remove the number you entered. Then enter the
correct number.
3 Press ENTER or <>.
Playback begins at the specified title.
If you specify a title number which does not exist on the disc, the
© symbol is displayed. In this case, repeat from step 1 with a
valid title number.
