¢ Make sure the TV set is connected properly and its input source is
selected properly (see "Connections", page 4,5 and 6).
¢ Various guide displays of the current operation are available on
the TV screen. To view them, make sure you have "Guide Message
ON" in the Setup menu (see "Guide Message", page 43).
* You can select the language for the guide message out of 6
available languages (see "Menu Language", page 43). The display
in the default language, English, is used in the descriptions and
illustrations in this section.

2 Load disc(s) with the label side up.
To play one or two discs, place the discs on tray 1 and/or 2.
To play three discs, press DISC CHANGE to rotate the tray
after placing two discs. Place the third disc on tray 3.

VCD without the PBC function:

DVD or a VCD with the PBC function:
Playback starts automatically.
¢ When loading an 8-cm (3-inch) disc, put it onto the inner circle
of the tray.
¢ Do not place more than one compact disc on one disc tray.
* Do not tilt the unit with discs loaded. Doing so may cause
malfunctions.
¢ Do not use irregular shaped CDs such as heart-shaped or
octagonal discs. It may damage both the unit and the disc.
PLAYING DISCS
1 Press DVD/CD.
2 Press <>.
Playback begins with the disc with the lowest tray number,
and goes on to play all discs on the trays (All Disc Playback).
If disc played back in the course of All Disc Playback is a
DVD, or a VCD with the PBC function, however, All Disc
Playback is canceled when it finishes playback.

need to press <P. Playback starts automatically when the
